into the courtroom wearing orange jumpsuits and shackles. immediately there was a pre- indictment plea deal and asked for a continuance to further review and explore the videotape that allegedly shows this violent rape. they are accused of repeatedly raping a 20-year-old back -- fairfield -- fairfax woman as she fell in and outside of consciousness and outside the cathedral in downtown. moments earlier inside she told me "i son is innocent. i have no faith in the distal system i just leave it up to god." >> we believe the real story will come out in the days and weeks to follow. we're just getting started. we take very seriously. >> according to court documents the two men and women know each

other. all three left the same bar together on new year's eve intoxicated. the victim was allegedly lured into the parking garage. police say the woman was raped over and over again by both men. eventu let petered -- beaten and bottlebattered. >> the judge did accept a continuance, but not before he added another charge of first- degree sex assault for both the attendance. they will be back in court next week. the owner of this martial arts school says he and his employees have nothing to do with this rate. >-- this rape. >> thank you. new developments in the penn state scandal. jerry sandusky working with his lawyers this noon in order to regain freedom. the former coach will be in a pennsylvania court room this afternoon making an appeal to have his conviction reversed on

multiple counts of child sex abuse. his lawyers argue there was not enough evidence to convict him. he was sentenced to -- in october for no less than 30 years in prison for assaulting 10. -- abusing 10 voice. >> the president is set to announce his new treasury secretary this afternoon. the likely nominee could set the stage for more confrontation for republicans over debt and deficit. karen travers has more. >> new year, a new cabinet. the obama administration shuffle continues. today president obama will nominate jack lew for treasury secretary. currently the chief of staff steps into the job at a very critical time. his experience as an administration insider and budget grew will be quickly put to the test. -- budget guru will quickly be put to the test.

justices. >> as the gun control debate heats up, price -- vice- president joe biden said to meet with nra leaders today. this is just one of many groups the vice president is meeting with as he heads to the task force to deliver a gun control recommendations for the white house. the nra has made its position clear, no new gun laws. joe biden says no matter what the white house is looking to take action. >> the president is going to act. there is executive action that can be taken. >> other groups are getting in on the debate as well. wal-mart originally declined to join the talks with vice- president joe biden. now it will bring ideas to the table. the task force will submit recommendations to president obama by the end of january. >> virginia voters team to support ideas by joe biden and

nra. over 92 percent support my aunt -- mandatory background checks. 62 percent saying people owning assault weapons make the nation at more dangerous. 66 percent support placing armed guards in school and have said they protect from crime. >> congressman from northern virginia met to discuss moving fbi headquarters out of the nation's capital. jim moran, gerry connolly, and robert whitman along with mark warner and tim kane. the proposed site is in springfield, virginia. the fairfax county board unanimously approved a resolution urging the congress and to lobby for the move. >> new numbers show gun -- unemployment claims rose slightly. 371,000 people filed first-time claims, up 4000 from the week before. this is still an improvement

you will notice an increase in the clouds as we go through sunset. most the cloudy into tomorrow. -- mostly cloudy tomorrow. look at the plume of moisture from the central gulf of all the way into memphis, even now into parts of the midwest. that is a low pressure system. it is big enough it will click the washington area tomorrow and a warm front with through. i think that will be just enough to kick start one or two sprinkles late in the day tomorrow. during the second half of the day, afternoon and evening. not enough to get in the way of the dry conditions. quarter of an inch around the beltway. less than that in fairfax county. that is about it. i think that is the best we can do out of the system tomorrow with a slight little chance of
